Family

We are blessed to have lots of family around that Carter gets to see often.  If we could just figure out a way to get everyone else here too.

Weekend Away

Because the first contract on our house fell through, we had to put it back on the market.  We decided to head to the cabin to get away from the craziness.  It was well worth it  because we had multiple offers again and got right back under contract.  It was a great weekend at the cabin, even though Carter left with a fat lip.  He lost the battle against the edge of the table. 

 

 

Football Season

Let football season begin...although we need to get another shirt also.

SEVENTEEN Months Old

Carter you are seventeen months old and we can't believe it!

At 17 months you:

-love to run back and forth between the kitchen and family room yelling
-love Squeezers
-get mad at Edie being in your way
-understand and will do whatever we tell you
-words are still at a minimum
-still love your bink, blanket and lion
-love to run and be chased
-have hair that is getting so long
-have been such a trooper for all the house searching
-love your shoes
-love to come home from daycare, get a snack cup and sit on the couch
-still take two great naps
-give the best hugs


The time is flying by so fast and there is so much going on lately that I am WAY behind in blogging which is why this post is so late in getting put up.  But, I am going to get completely caught up! 

A visit with extended family

We headed up to Idaho Springs for the day to spend a little time with the extended Maresh family.  It was a great day, even though we had a lot going on with house stuff.  Carter got to hang out with some of his cousins (not sure if 3rd, 4th or once removed, etc.), but he had a great time.  Talula and Wake showed him all kinds of things.  He watches everything now, so I am sure he picked up some new tricks.  We took a short hike, up from the house, to some old railroad tracks and gorgeous views.  It was a very nice day.
