Rolling Stones in Kansas City

The Rolling Stones headed out on tour again and had a stop in Kansas City.  Because there was no Denver stop, the Troys decided a road trip to KC to see the show was in order.  It was the perfect opportunity to go see family, although Collins seems unimpressed, and introduce the Troys to Grandma Helen and show them the farm.

A stop for dinner on the way back included s'mores at the table for dessert.  Carter was in heaven.

Fast trip, but wonderful to see everyone.

Father's Day 2015

On Father's Day this year, we celebrated by ourselves in the morning and then headed over to the Helmick's for dinner in the park, a few rockets with cousins and homemade bubble blowers from Aunt Gayla.  It was a great, relaxing day.

Fun Back on Cove Creek

We headed down to our old neighborhood to have a little get together with our old neighbors.  Carter was pretty sure he was one of the big kids that night and hung right with them, whether they liked it or not.

More T-Ball

It was great watching Carter at T-ball each week.  He loved it.  We will have to make sure he always has a haircut for it though, because those Soltis sweat genes are always in effect.

Along with the baseball, there were always waves to make sure everyone was watching...

And, some action shots...

It was a great season.  Can't wait to do it again.

On The Field

Right after Carter's t-ball league started, information went out about the team getting to walk on the field at Coors Field.  Carter was so excited for it.  There was only one other kid and one coach from his team that came, but Carter wasn't fazed.  He went without us, walked around the whole field and waved to everyone like he was king.  :)   He was so proud.  It was great to watch his excitement.

He is in the green/khaki shorts, flip flops and red shirt.

T-Ball

Carter started T-Ball this summer and was VERY excited.  The first week was cancelled because of rain and the second week had to be played on a turf football field because all the fields were still wet, but he finally got to play.  Gotta love that they always seem to get giant shirts for 4 year old's.  :)

The first is one of my favorite videos because he catches the ball in his glove and even from far away you can tell his surprise and pride that he caught it.

Chalk Art Festival and Home Improvement

Because these things were in process of happening at home all weekend...

we decided we needed to get out a little too.  The Chalk Art Festival was going on in downtown Denver and a group from Westminster High School had a design so it was the perfect break.  Carter and Scott even got in on the action.

As Long as He is in the Driver's Seat

Westminster had a small fair and touch-a-truck day at a park not far from the house.  Carter is always up for things like that so out we went.  They had a bounce house, carnival games and trucks to sit in and check out.  Pretty much all things 4 years old's love.

And, as long as Carter is in the driver's seat of the police car, he can be in it whenever he wants.
