The Bathroom Routine

Seriously...how is this already happening at 3 years old.  It must be genetic.  :)

First Day of Preschool

Carter is growing up so fast.  It is crazy that it was already time for us to start thinking about school for him. We discussed where to send Carter to preschool, and after reviewing a couple different options, it came down to a great recommendation from the Decola's and the schedule.  We decided to go with two days a week at Life Christian Academy and stick with the other three days at Dessa's house.  Carter was so excited about starting school.

We made his lunch the night before and he got to pick what shape he wanted for his sandwich.

Carter was so excited about getting to start school.  The school is right by our house and he did great on the way there.  After going in to his classroom, he was a little upset when I started to leave, but he did fine.  He does great in situations like that, and it doesn't take him long to settle in.

By the time Scott picked him up in the afternoon, he was having a great time and telling Scott all about it.

Lunch Dates

One day this summer, Scott and Carter decided to head down to the aquarium for a little outing.  The day included mermaids and stingray feeding.  What more could a person ask for.  I love that the two of them are able to do these kind of things when Scott is off.  Even if he works in the summer, like he did this one, the schedule still allows more time to do things than he has during the school year.  I will admit though, it is hard to go to work some days and not just stay home and hang out with the two of them.

Since they were headed downtown, they met me for lunch.  It was a great break in the day.

These were my dates...don't they look thrilled. :)

Apparently I was more excited than they were.  In their defense, they had already been to the aquarium, so I think they were both ready to head home.  Carter also just wanted to ride the free mall ride again.  They were only riding one block (thankfully since there is no touching ANYTHING on the mall ride). :)

Westminster Fair 2014

We headed over to the Westminster Fair (no longer the Faire) again this year.  It is just a small event and most of the things there are information, political or craft booths.  The few games they did have though were all free and had short lines.  Both bonuses with a 3 year old.  Carter loved playing the few games they had, jumping in the bouncy house and pretending to be a fireman again.

Preseason Football

Scott decided to try and take Carter to a Broncos game again this year.  We decided that a preseason game was probably best, since his attention span isn't always the longest...Carter's not Scott's.  They only lasted until the second quarter, but Carter had a great time.

Pretty sure his favorite part of the day was the Orange Crush soda he was allowed to drink while tailgating.  And, that nice white shirt didn't last very long.  Carter and white are not a good mix.

Outside Time

This kid loves to be outside.  Whether it is riding around on his 4 wheeler, or headed to the park by the house, he is up for whatever.  We need to make sure and keep him on this path, because true to all kids now days, he is also quite the little techie and loves to play games on the phone.
