Foodie

Guess who likes Indian food!  Especially the mango custard.

Vietnamese food too!  He loves the Pho.

And gyros and hummus at the Mediterranean restaurant.  BUT, ask him to eat a green pepper or something along those lines and you would think he was being tortured.

Team Spirit

Team spirit.

Not only at home,

but also letting everyone know around the neighborhood it is game day beforehand.

Funny Things to Remember

Just a few things to remember lately:

  1. When the T.V. is on, he instantly tells you "my show".
  2. When you then turn it on one of his shows, he tells you "not this".  This goes on through the various options that might be on until you come back to the one you originally started with.
  3. When choosing something lately, it is like the hardest decision ever for him.  You get an "I want..." or "I pick..." with a minute delay afterward while the decision is made and he taps his finger on his chin.
  4. One of the shows he watches has a three little pigs episode and Carter will tell you, "I Huff and Puff and blow your hair down".

Free Entertainment

The Broomfield Airport is not far from the house and right by where we go for speech.  We now frequently make stops to check out the planes and see what is happening at the airport before heading home.  Gotta love free entertainment.  Pretty sure he would stay there for hours and watch the planes come and go.  We need to hit up the air show this summer.

The Helper

We had the bedrooms rewired to have the ability to install an overhead light.  Much like the last house, builders must think people don't really need overhead lighting in bedrooms...not so.

After getting the bedrooms wired, we had three ceiling fans to install.  Carter was right there to help with the job.  He even got his Home Depot apron on and his tools to get the job done "faster".

Let the Good Times Roll

Since we were early on with no longer having the binky and wanting to just stick close to home, we decided to do something fun as a family for New Year's Day.  Carter had not been bowling yet and it seemed like the perfect day to try it.  There is an arcade/bowling alley near the house.  They even had cute little kids bowling shoes.

We paid for two games, but Carter only stayed interested and was excited about it through the first one.  After that it was kind of a struggle and he wanted to do stuff in the arcade instead.  It was totally worth it though and entertaining to watch him get excited and count the pins.  Something we will have to try again in the future.

This brought me back to my childhood and made me want an air hockey table again.
