Sunday Night Dinners

One of the great things about our recent move, is being closer to more family.  All of my side of the family that lives in the Denver area live about 5 minutes from us.  All the kids are right around the same age as Carter, which is great.  Aunt Gayla and Uncle Dan have family dinners every Sunday.  We make it every few weeks so we can spend time with family, and Carter can play with his cousins.  It is also always great food.  Carter has a great time there and so do we.

 

 

Cowboy Up

We headed to the stock show again this year.  Carter definitely looked like he belonged there.  Like the zoo in Phoenix, one of his favorite things was the chickens.  He also liked walking around and looking at all the other animals.

After walking around for a little while, we headed to the afternoon rodeo.  Carter watched off and on  throughout the show and did great.  The show was long for a 2 year old, but he lasted through the whole 3 hours.  Bull riding was the very last event.  Part of the bull riding event includes the rodeo clowns.  His favorite thing of the whole rodeo was when the rodeo clown pulled a nerf football out. 

He spotted it instantly and yelled "Ball".  The clown threw the ball in to the stands (not near us).  The person that caught it threw it back and missed the arena.  It went in to one of the animal pens.  Carter saw all of this happen and was concerned for the remaining part of the show about where the football went.  Pretty sure that isn't why most people go to the rodeo, but it was Carter's favorite part.

TWENTY-TWO Months

Carter you are twenty-two months old and you are definitely entertaining and starting to get a mind of your own.  Your dad and I laugh all the time that we might be in trouble in the future. :)

Carter at 22 months you:

are back on a blueberry kick but almost all other fruit is okay too.
don't like vegetables near as much.
have a serious sweet tooth.
have little interest in eating dinner.
are always busy.
still need a haircut.
love to spend time with family.
have a great time at daycare.
still take two naps.

 

 

The Denver Aquarium

The Denver Aquarium was recently revamped and we hadn't been to see it yet.  We took one Sunday morning and headed down to see if it was any good.  Carter liked all of it, but the animitronic orangutan, which was a little odd and scary. 

The aquarium had various types of sea life, but also otters, a tiger and some parrots.  The tiger was sleeping and pretty hard to see, so Carter wasn't in to that very much.  We will have to find one at the zoo and see if he is a little more interested. 

 

 

 

 

 



 

 He loved the touch tank and sting ray tank though and feeding the stingray some fish.

 

 

Final Christmas of 2012

Carter's last Christmas was with the Aunt Sarah and the Maresh side of the family on New Year's Day.  I think we set a bad precident this year having three.  He might expect this every year.  :)  He had a great time opening more presents and got a lot of wonderful things.  He has so much family, that loves him and spoils him like crazy.
