A Special Package

A package arrived in the mail for Carter postmarked from Chicago. When we opened it up, this is what we found. Thanks a lot Gaubatzs'. We are not sure how we feel about this. :)

Table Etiquette

This is what happens with an almost one year old learning how to feed himself, using silverware, and dinner at a Mexican restaurant. This isn't an ideal look in public. We are still working on this skill...obviously.

Little Red Wagon

The weather here has been gorgeous lately, which made it the perfect time to try out Carter's new wagon. He loved it! We tried to hook Eddie up to pull the wagon, but Eddie is a little jumpy and too quick to comply with safety standards. It is a good thing the wagon has seatbelts.

Restaurant Week

Carter hit up restaurant week with us two different times this year. This particular night we went to The Keg with Aunt Sarah and Aunt Sally. Carter did great. He entertained the other patrons, watched all the people walk by outside and put nice little hand prints all over their window. It was a good night.

First Popsicle

When Carter was sick, the doctor recommended getting him some popsicles for something cold on his throat. The facial expressions in this video just make me laugh.

Just a Swingin'

Scott and I took Carter down to the park for his first swing experience. I think he liked it and it was so fun to watch he and Scott play together. Carter is definitely ready for the weather to warm up now, so we can put his own swing he got from Grandma Bonnie and Grandpa Joe to use whenever he wants.

MMM...Blueberry Pancakes

As stated earlier, Carter loves blueberries. He also loves breakfast. So it just made sense when making breakfast for all of us, that blueberry pancakes were the perfect choice. Although a little messy, he loved being able to eat them on his own. We took the top half of his PJs off to make clean up a little easier. Carter's joy is confirmed in the pictures below. Obviously, food and eating are some of his favorite things.

Eddie kept a close watch on Carter the whole time he was eating. After Carter decided he was full, Eddie was the benificiary of any scraps that remained.
